For People with Autism: Make Sense of Your Stress and Anxiety.
Everyone experiences situations that cause stress or anxiety from time to time. In this group, we’ll explore the causes of these feelings together.
By gaining a better understanding of what’s going on, you’ll learn new ways to cope and feel more in control of challenging situations.
What to Expect
During the sessions, you’ll gain insight into:
-
How anxiety and stress arise.
-
How factors like sensory overload, unexpected changes, or clashes between expectations and reality can play a role.
-
How the fear of not being allowed to be yourself can influence your feelings.
We’ll also work on practical skills, such as:
-
Recognizing and identifying your own boundaries.
-
Learning how to express these boundaries.
-
Managing tension and navigating everyday interactions.
The focus is on learning and practicing in a safe and supportive environment.
Who is This Group For?
This group is for adults (18–65 years old) with an average to high level of intelligence who have a diagnosis within the autism spectrum. It’s important that you have previously participated in
Me and My Autism or have otherwise gained knowledge about your autism.

-
Less shame about their own behavior.
-
Less loneliness due to recognition and understanding.
-
Greater understanding of the causes of their anxiety and tension.
-
