For clients and the people close to them: Insight and self-management in bipolar disorder


Better understanding and managing your mood and recovery together.
Living with bipolar disorder can have a significant impact – both on the person with the disorder and on the people close to them.

What can you expect?
You attend the group together with your family member(s) or other people close to you, along with other clients and the people close to them. You will learn about bipolar disorder and have the opportunity to share experiences with others. Recognition, understanding and support are important parts of the group.

What will we discuss?
  • Symptoms and difficulties related to bipolar disorder.
  • How bipolar disorder can develop over time.
  • Recognising early warning signs.
  • Managing bipolar disorder in everyday life.
  • The use of medication.
  • What you can do yourself to manage bipolar disorder.

Voor English - Bipolair - Psychoeducation for Bipolar Disorder gelden de volgende voorwaarden:

  • It is mandatory to attend the first meeting.
  • You can be absent for a maximum of 2 meetings.
  • To take part in the sessions, you need to bring one or more family members or other people close to you.
